The full extent of the damage is shown in photos. As with any inductive pickup, the RPM80 may not be compatible all ignition systems. I bought this pickup to accompany my Fluke 88V multi meter. Compatible with Fluke 78 and 88 Automotive Digital Multi meters.

There are a couple of abrasions on the black lead, about an inch from terminal boot. I left the cable un-repaired in order to show extant of damage. Allows RPM measurement from secondary side of spark plug ignition systems. Unfortunately, during my first use of the pickup, meter fell from where I had it perched and lead cable on pickup rubbed crank pulley a running engine.

This is the only spot on cables that, in my opinion, would benefit from a repair to insulation. Complete with original packaging, Small abrasions on the cable and red terminal boot. One of these breaks through the insulation and exposes wire. There is an abrasion within of the black terminal boot that does not go through insulation.

The top of the red terminal boot is abraded. Almost new, used once. The pickup still functions perfectly but at the time I was in a spend mood, so replaced it. Fluke RPM80 Automotive Inductive Pick-up/External Trigger.
