Bought about 4 years ago, and used only a few times with our 2005 vw pasta. On download update near top of page. Interface acts as a dongle activation for the full-function version of vcds is built in.

You would then select kii-usb to download the appropriate software version. We recently sold that car, so no longer have a use for this dongle interface. I am not an expert on vcds, but feel free to ask questions.
